Festivals in Nepal

There are many festivals in Nepalese culture. Some of them are Dhasin, Tihar, Ghode jatra, Ram nabami and many more. Every month of the year has got some festivals. They makes us remember something happiness about that day.

"Dhasin" (Durga puja) is about winning the truth on the false things. This festival goes ten days long. This is the biggest festival in Nepalese culture. From the first people worships Goddess Durga to the ninth day. In the tenth day in every homes big person of the family gives blessings, some money, tika and jamara to the small one.

"Tihar" is festival belongs to brothers and sisters. It goes five days long. First day of this festival is about worshiping crow because people think god is inside everybody. the second day is for dogs. Third day goes to worshiping cow. The very last day is the biggest day. In this day sisters gives blessings, sweets, tika with a garlin and also brothers gives blessings, some money and clothes to the sisters.

my bike

I have a bike with black and yellow in color. It is not so big and not so small. It is about 150 cc. It has one box where I can put many things in it. Usually, I ride my bike when I go to computer class. Sometime I take it to visit market as well. My bike is very important for me.

My bike is not so expensive and not so cheep. Many people bought like this bike because it is very comfortable. It is also useful take sick people to the hospital. Most important thing about riding bike is safety. Speed riding can be dangerous.

Sometime I ride my bike to visit new place. Last time I took my bike for a long drive, it was quite funny. My friends have got also some bikes. Occasionally, we take our bike to make a tour. I bought my bike two years ago, since then it is good friend of mine. I love my bike.

My bag

I have a bag with dark blue and white in color. It is portable in size means I can make it big or small. It has many pockets. I can put many things in those pockets.Usually, I carry this bag when I go to the computer class. I keep many things like copy, pen, book and a rain coat in it. It is made up of special clothes.

When I go to the tour I use to take it and I keep so many things in it like clothes, sweater, tooth brush, comb, oil and many more things. There are six pockets in my bag where two pockets are outside and four pockets are inside of the bag.

My bag is very nice and beautiful for looking also. I keep always this bag with me for many purpose like visiting and store things. My bag is like one part of my body. I love my bag.

My friends

I am Sudeep. I study about computer. I have many friends in my computer class. Some of them are Saroj, Sujit, Rabin, Ganga and Laxmi. Saroj is my best friend. I share many thing with my friends. I share happiness and sadness with my friends.

I play football, cricket and other games with them. I share my ball and bat with them if they forget to bring these things. We help each other to play the fair game in the ground. Some time we go to watch movies together and have enjoy in cinema hall.

I also have friends living near my house. They are Hari, Shyam, Niraj and Deepika. They works in different places. We meet each other after work usually in the evening. Sometimes they come to my home. I visit to friend's house when they are sick. Niraj is my best friend in my village. I go to his home and we watch movie in television. I love my friends and we never quarrel with each other.

clothes in Nepal

In Nepalese society, people wear different types of clothes according to the age and place. Clothes protects us from heat and cold. My family members wear different clothes. I usually wear T-shirt and jeans-pants. I also wear a jacket or a sweater when I feel cold. I wear half-pants and T-shirts when I play games.

In Nepal old man after age of forty wears Daura-Suruwal, Coat and Dhakatopi. Old woman wears Guneu. Cholo and patuka. Young man likes to wear shirts and pants some people wear jeans-pants and T-shirts. Woman wears sari, blouse and Kurta-Suruwal.

North part of Nepal is very cold in every months, so there people wears thick clothes like Bakku and Docha. South part of Nepal is always hot so people wears light clothes like Dothi and cotton Kurta-Suruwal.

my home

My home is in Dhapakhel. It is nicely built few years ago. there are one living room, one kitchen,two bed rooms, one study room and one bath-room. We have six rooms altogether. my home area is very  peace, calm and good in weather.

My house is made up of bricks, sand, cement, wood and iron. Home protects us from heat, rain and cold. It also protects us from wild animals and thieves. from out side of my house we can see a chimney, roof, balcony,windows, garage, wall, steps and front door. In front of my house there is one small but beautiful garden with colorful flowers.

Animals, birds and insects also have their own homes. Cows live in a cowshed. Birds live in nests. Bees live in a hive. Snakes live in holes.

television

Television is well known device all over the world. We use television to get information and entertainment. Now a days there are so many types of television. It has become an important machine in our daily life.

If we add some device in the television set we can play games and watch movies, it will be quite entertaining. Televisions are expensive and cheaper in the market depends upon it's quality. Everybody likes to keep it in the home. We can watch many channels in it.

Watching television is good time passing. It is nice friend of ours. Without television I think life is boring, so everybody likes to watch television. I watch television program everyday in the morning and in the evening.
